| | | Just off the fashionable Via XXII Marzo, lined with elegant shops and boutiques, Hotel Do Pozzi is a quaint and reasonably-priced Venice hotel near St Mark's square. The hotel is just behind Venice's famous opera house, the Teatro La Fenice, and is easy to reach by vaporetto (public water bus) from Santa Lucia railway station, as well as from Piazzale Roma car park and Tronchetto parking garage. Hotel Do Pozzi is housed in a late 17th-century building, that opens out onto a characteristic Venetian square called a campiello, featuring the 2 wells (pozzi) after which the hotel is named. This Venice 3-star hotel is run by the Marchesi Family, who have owned it since 1866, when it was the winter home of the present owner's great grand parents. Typically Venetian, this small family-run hotel is excellent for anyone who is hankering after a taste of the real Venice. You can enjoy a tasty breakfast out in the quiet square during the summer, surrounded by flowers. Furthermore, the hotel also has a small bar and lots of information, about what to do and see and how to get around, is available at the reception.
